Did you know Joan of Arc rolls up in Shakespeare's first play? In the production of HENRY VI (PART I) I just saw - the first installment in a trilogy described by a fellow enthusiast as "heavy sledding" - she rolls up wielding curved daggers. I am also here for the Big Tragedies and weep my face off for absolutely every version of THE TEMPEST - okay, fine, I weep my face off at almost all Shakespeare - but after you've committed to seeing all 38 plays at some point in your life and you start going for the D-sides, you come back to the 'hits' and are like, "why is no one baking children in pies in this one?" It's flavor country, is what I'm saying, and if you can go see NAATCO's all-Asian cast doing H6, you should, It's a banger. A long, slow one, like a drum announcing your doom.
